June 23, 2025 - by Aqua Imagicaa

While exploring the hilly areas of India, many people may overlook MP. But if you visit Pachmarhi, you can unravel a world of natural wonders. Let us help you know more about the queen of Satpura hills with our Pachmarhi Itinerary.

Day-by-Day Itinerary Options

Adventure & Nature Trails

There are plenty of nature trails in the hill station. However, the majestic five will help you cover the most beautiful scenery and adventure. These include Chauragarh, Dhupgarh, Reechgarh, Bee Falls and the trail to Nandigarh Temple.

Apsara Vihar, Rajat Prapat (Silver Falls)

Often known as the hidden gem of the mountains, the Apsara Vihar is the 30th largest waterfall in India. You will find it at a spot surrounded by lush flora and fauna. You need to hike to get to the place where the waterfall pours, but the view is worth it. You can also opt for a short camping session here, making maggie with splashes of the natural water in the background.

Reechgarh and Handi Khoh

Reechgarh is home to caves that were once the home of the sloth bears. Handi Koh is a famous viewpoint on the lip of a 100m deep canyon. From here, the views of Chauragarh are amazing, to say the least.

Evening at leisure

Spend your day at one of the good restaurants during your Pachmarhi trip plan. Most of these offer great views of the hills. Then, you can take a stroll and explore the lives of locals here, ending the day at leisure. A short evening drive with sunset views through the nearby villages is also a good option.

Religious & Offbeat Spots

There are plenty of offbeat spots here as well. Though these take some detours, you will surely love seeking adventure at these spots. And most importantly, these are not crowded. You can visit temples like Jatashankar and Chauragarh temple, both dedicated to Lord Shiva. Other options include Amba Temple and Shri Panch Pandav Caves.

Mahadeo Hill, Gupt Mahadev Temple

The Mahadeo Hill is a place where you can enjoy witnessing the ancient caves, supposed to be linked to Lord Shiva. The Gupt Mahadev temples reside in a 40-meter cave with a narrow entrance, surrounded by a lush forest. Make sure that you take your water bottle with you ,as the place can be a bit challenging to reach.
